One of our joys this Christmas is the realization that God "came down from
heaven"
to be with us. The stairway of perfection is a long and winding
staircase. Isn't it wonderful to meditate on the goodness of God, and
how by coming to us, He has made it possible for us to go to Him? "It
is not that we love God, but that God loved us first" (St. John the
Apostle)
